The Ceylon Tourist Board (created by the Ceylon Tourist Board Act No. 10 of 1966) and the Ceylon Hotels Corporation (created by Ceylon Hotels Corporation Act of 1966) were set up duly.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;">Created to promote rapid economic development, through the development of foreign tourism, the Ceylon Tourist Board (CTB) was a statutory body that allowed greater freedom in decision making and flexibility in financial management.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;">The legislation also covered the establishment of a national holiday resort company, which planned various types of accommodation and resort areas. The Act conferred powers for the Protection of Highways and Places of Scenic Beauty and vested authority in the Ceylon Tourist Board for the Registration and Classification of Tourist Hotels and all other tourist services including travel agencies. The Tourist Development Act of 1968 provided the Ceylon Tourist Board with the statutory authority to develop tourism on a planned and controlled basis</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;">In October 2007 the Tourism Act No 38 of 2005 came into effect. With the circulation of the new Tourism act, the Sri Lanka Tourist Board Act No 10 of 1966, which was in effect for the past 41 years, was replaced.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; text-align: justify;">In terms of the provisions contained in the new act, the Tourism Development Fund was legally constituted, with 2 main sources remitting finances to the fund. By way of 1/3 of the Airport Tax collections and 1% of the Turnover of all Sri Lanka Tourist Board registered establishments. The Act provided for the setting up of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, Sri Lanka Promotions Bureau, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and Sri Lanka Institute of Hotel Management, thereby replacing the Sri Lanka Tourist Board.</p>

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple. On Wednesdays there is a symbolic bathing of the relic with an herbal preparation made from scented water and fragrant flowers called Nanumura Mangallaya. This holy water is believed to contain healing powers and is distributed among those present.

Royal Botanical Garden attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The temple is located in the village of Seetha Eliya (also known as Sita Eliya). This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by King Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic, Ramayana. On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Lord Hanuman.

<div>Talking about driver cum guides they always behaved as if we are their friends or relatives, they haven't looked at itinerary or timing. Just tried to provide best to the extend they can. Even small-small things has been taken care by them. Even purchasing of local sim, water, food etc was been taken care very nicely. All the guides are well experienced and they really know their work and duty. All of them posses a good amount of knowledge of their particular area. And the best part what we noticed is they are always updated and most of the time we saw them reading books to improve their services. April (Joburg) was reading the book of History, Chrish (Kruger) was reading nooks of wild life, Pierre (Garden rout) himself is a professor and always keep on enhancing his knowledge. <div>City Tour: City tour with flyer enjoyed with experienced guide. Need more then 4 hours for city tour with flyer. Evening enjoyed flower dome, cloud forest and MBS park.&nbsp;</div>
<div>Jurong bird park was good but very short time for bird lovers. Night safari not enjoyed as nothing to see in dark nights and very limited animals available in this area and also too late. I am not recommending this tour. I thing Zoo is better then this as in day light we can see all animals clearly.</div>

<div>Mr D J was taking care of everyone. He make sure that everyone should counted When we stepped out for to see places. You guys can count on him any time any day. He put a lots of effort and Mr D J make sure everyone having good time together.</div>
<div>We all enjoyed whole trip to Singapore and Malaysia.</div>
<div>But let me tell you,&nbsp;</div>
<div>when you have whole group of NRI people then please have light lunch like sandwiches like Subway or something like that.</div>
<div>Everyone can’t eat Indian food in lunch. Because we everyone don’t eat heavy lunch.</div>
<div>In evening it’s ok but not in lunch. Have some days Chinese Veg food, or something different.Pasta ,pizza and so forth..</div>
<div>People get tired of Indian food specially whole group of NRI</div>

Enjoyed Whole Trip To Singapore and Malaysia

<div>We have arrived back in QATAR last week from the fantastic 19days trip in UK and Europe which you and your Company organized for us. We would like to congratulate you all as everything went so well, a meticulous effort from Flamingo side.&nbsp;</div>
<div>We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation; the people, the food, the hotels and sites visited were all excellent.</div>
<div>Barring the Apartciti at Rome, we would also like to say you’re choice of Hotels was excellent at all cities and we had a comfortable stay. A special mention to all the hotels chosen for one night stay was excellent!</div>
<div>Visits to the Disney Land, Eiffel tower and Madame tussauds in UK were a great experience to my children whereas visits to Swarovski, the glass factory and in particular, all the time spent of the street shopping were delightful experiences to my wife. We did enjoy the pedaling boat ride at Edinburg and Gondola ride in Venice. And of course the highlight was Mt Titlis and Jungfrau which are truly amazing.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</div>
<div>It was so interesting to learn about the countries and their history, the guides were good, helpful and they were so punctual as well.</div>
<div>All and all it was a very composed and well-designed itinerary.</div>
<div>The quality of food in the restaurants visited and the selection of items are quite impressive and the Service offered by restaurants staff other representatives of your company both in UK and Europe was impeccable.&nbsp;</div>
<div>Last but not least, we would like to thank and wish to Mr. Michel and his wife Natasha (the Bus captains) for their great service. We wish all the best to them.</div>
<div>A special thanks to the tour Manager <span style="font-weight: bold;">Mr. Darshan</span> for his dedication, knowledge, good spirit and humour. He is the perfect guide and Tour Manager. All the credit of this tour goes to him for his excellent implantation. We have enjoyed his Masala Tea breaks and thankful to him for making the breakfast interesting by giving occasional hand otherwise was so boring breakfast.</div>
